Great Music Line Up at the Waterbury Arts Fest in August!

The Waterbury Arts Fest will be the place to be on its new dates - Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26 2023.  Well known for the phenomenal array of arts and crafts vendors on display on Saturday, the incredible new Friday night lineup will have everyone dancing under the stars.

Friday Night’s Block Party will be anchored by Renegade Groove, a popular 4-piece funk-rock group from Burlington. Their powerful and groovy funk will quickly get the crowd up and dancing!  Opening for Renegade Groove is The Arty Lavigne Band who will definitely start the party on a high note. This year, the food scene will not be rivaled with delicious opportunities for dinner (Friday), and breakfast and lunch (Saturday). Couple that with incredible music and performances, and Waterbury will be hopping and dancing all weekend long.

“I’m tapping my toes just thinking about it,” said Karen Nevin, Executive Director of Revitalizing Waterbury. “Once we knew that The Grift couldn’t join us in August, we worked hard to bring two bands with fun vibes to make Friday night a party to remember. I encourage folks to plan their weekend dining around the Waterbury Arts Fest this year!” The Grift will return as the Block Party headliner in 2024.

The music continues on Saturday. With the stage having a constant lineup of fun music and performances, you’ll want to take breaks while you shop. We are excited to introduce Diya Kulkarni to the Arts Fest family. A young singer song-writer from Montpelier, she’ll sweep you off your feet. DonnCherie is returning to share her wonderful soul-folk vibe and Slap Happy Jack will top off the afternoon. Of course, Green Mountain Performing Arts will start the day with local youth dancers performing a variety of dance styles to the appreciative crowd.

The Waterbury Art Fest will be held on Friday evening, August 25 and Saturday, August 26, 2023, in downtown Waterbury. The Friday Night Block Party is a large dance party held in the evening with live music, beer garden, food trucks and dancing. The Saturday Arts Market has nearly 100 art exhibitors, live entertainment, children’s activities and an extensive food truck court. The Waterbury Arts Fest is sponsored by dozens of local businesses, led by VSECU, our Grand Sponsor; Suburban Propane, our Friday Night Block Party Sponsor; Fairfield by Marriot, our Saturday Arts Market Sponsor and Ben & Jerry’s, our Stage & Entertainment Sponsor.

The Waterbury Arts Fest is the primary fundraiser for Revitalizing Waterbury, whose mission is to preserve, promote and enhance the economic, social and historic vitality of Waterbury, Vermont. More information about the Waterbury Arts Fest can be found at www.WaterburyArtsFest.com.
